SUESD Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP),
adopted June 17, 2015

LCAP Community Input Survey

Soquel Union Elementary School District is seeking your input to improve our schools. In 2013 the State of California changed the funding formulas for all schools in California. The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) state-funding model uses a formula designed to provide more local control over expenditures of district funds. Under the new system there is a responsibility to gather input from our community on how our schools are meeting the needs of our student learners. In addition, the District must align budget expenditures to student improvement goals by creating a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). We welcome and need your input for this process.

As part of our districtís continuing effort to engage students, teachers, parents, and community members Soquel Union has held face-to-face input sessions with teaching staff, School Site Councils, District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) and Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), however this survey is the primary method for reaching the majority of parents and community.

The information from this survey will be used in shaping our LCAP goals and services. The results of the survey will be shared on the district website and at parent meetings in April and May.

Please take a few moments to give your input and feedback to this important process.
